Epic Partners LLC is a merchant banking firm based in New York City that focuses on private equity investments. Founded in 2001, the firm provides capital and strategic resources to lower middle market companies, employing a flexible approach with a range of financing structures such as subordinated debt with warrants, preferred stock, and common equity. It has experience co-investing with other private equity firms and targets established businesses with solid operating histories and growth potential, typically seeking at least $2 million in EBITDA, though it may consider smaller targets. The firm is a generalist across several sectors but has substantial familiarity with the education and training space, and it pursues both control and non-control growth capital investments without a defined maximum deal size.
