ESS first started in business in Memphis in 1987. ESS is a licensed low voltage contractor in Tennessee and Mississippi. ESS is licensed with both Tennessee and Arkansas to install and service electronic security equipment, i.e. burglar & fire alarm systems, CCTV systems and Access Control systems. 

ESS ENTERS THE CABLING BUSINESS

In April 2000 ESS purchased Computers and Networks Inc.’s cabling department. The cabling department specializes in providing and installing communication cables of all types including high speed cooper cable, coaxial cable and fiber optic cable. These installations can be complete new installs or small ads or changes. We certify existing cables, design and engineer new cabling systems with full documentation (CAD Drawings, test results, cut sheets). 

 ESS BECOMES JOINT VENTURE PARTNER WITH DIGITAL WITNESS      

In October 2006 ESS entered into an agreement with Digital Witness www.digitalwitness.net to become a joint venture partner selling, installing and servicing Digital Witness products in the Mid-South. Digital Witness designs their own very unique Digital Video Surveillance System & Video Management Software. This system allows end users to effectively manage their business. With Digital Witness’s unique software management can reduce shrink, improve employee productivity, deter potential thieves, monitor cash registers, reduce cash loss, improve customer service, increase security and allow management and owners to view live and recorded video from their home or another office. 

ESS BECOMES LISTED WITH UL

On November 4, 2008 ESS became a listed company with Underwriters Laboratories (UL) in the area of fire alarm central station protective signaling. This listing gives ESS the right to issue official (UL) certificates for fire alarm installations in the Mid-South area. The cities of Memphis, Olive Branch and Horn Lake require UL certificates for all required fire systems.
