The Essential Playzone aka "The Zone" is a non-profit tutoring center in north county Saint Louis, MO striving to change the community one child at a time. Mission: To improve the skills of young people by fostering better communication (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) for improved leadership to better prepare youth for the world of work/ careers and their community. Purpose: Our purpose is to provide a safe and caring environment for young people to connect, engage, discover, and share information with others, as well as, meet new people. All while finding great educational resources to help enhance their communication skills for future endeavors. Why was the name Essential Playzone aka The Zone chosen? Good Question. There is a reason for such a unique name it is because young people need essential skills in life to be successful. They can build those skills in a fun and engaging manner with the help of mentors, tutors and people who genuinely care. Our Motto: Work feels like play at "The Zone"
