Delta Housing is a locally managed and governed housing association, with offices in Chelmsford and Southend-on-Sea. Established in April 2026, it was formed through the merger of CHP and Estuary, two long-standing and well-respected housing associations. Delta owns and manages over 17,000 homes across Essex and its neighbouring counties. Many of these homes are for social and affordable rent. They also provide housing services for people living independently in sheltered schemes and offer care and support services to people living with learning disabilities, mental health issues, and/or physical disabilities. We currently own and manage over 4600 properties. We are always looking at ways to increase the number of homes we can offer and believe it is important to build communities not just homes. We are committed to the provision of good-quality housing, care and support services to meet local needs and to contribute to the development of sustainable communities. Our residents are at the heart of everything we do, their views are important to us, in helping shaping future services. We have around 320 employees, two thirds of whom work providing care and support to people with learning disabilities. We also have an army of dedicated people behind the scenes providing a variety of services including, rent collection, gardening, estate management and working on projects to build new houses.
