Euronews is an international news media, providing news with a European perspective to a worldwide audience in 17 languages, both on TV and digital platforms. It reaches over 400 million TV homes across in 160 countries, including 68% of homes in the European Union + the United Kingdom. Every month, Euronews’ website and app attract an average of 25 million unique visitors and over 22 million people follow Euronews on social media platforms. Since its creation in Lyon (France) in 1993, Euronews has always embraced the fundamental values of independence, impartiality and pluralism, with a resolutely European identity, which lie at the heart of Euronews' editorial offer. Its mission is to empower people to form their own opinion, through offering a diversity of viewpoints: Euronews is "All Views". With a team of 400 journalists of more than 30 different nationalities, our 12 core editions cover European and world news 24/7 in Arabic, English, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Turkish, with bureaus in Brussels, Athens and Budapest. Since 2018, five branded affiliates (Euronews Albania, Euronews Georgia, Euronews Serbia, Euronews Bulgaria and Euronews Romania) were launched, bringing the total number of languages covered by Euronews to 17. Euronews’ unique multi-language news model enables Euronews to customise global news for local audiences. Aside from round-the-clock news coverage, Euronews provide audiences with a diverse array of factual programming on current affairs, business, technology, science, climate, travel and culture. Four thematic digital and social destinations were launched in the last few years: Euronews Green, Euronews Travel, Euronews Next and Euronews Culture. In 2016, Euronews launched its sister channel Africanews, the only international and independent news channel made for Africa, available both on TV and on digital platforms in French and in English.
