Excelsior Lumber’s story begins long before the company was founded. 

In 1927, Excelsior Lumber Company was originally founded by Leonard Lust as a saw mill operation. Eventually Leo passed on the company to his son John Lust, who continued to perfect the work of his father. In the 1970’s, ownership was passed to Gerry Meany. By 1989, the Kaslander family had come into possession of what is now Excelsior Lumber. The Kaslander’s had already established a location in Newark in 1960. 

From 1960 to now, Excelsior has prided itself on being a customer service company that just so happens to sell lumber. Our motivated employees are here for you every step of the way for your home improvement projects. On display in our large showroom you will find the latest building material products. Every sales associate in our store is knowledgeable and up to date on the latest and greatest supplies. Whether you're building a dream house or fixing up your own, Excelsior Lumber has it all.
