Exceptional Children's Foundation, based in Culver City, California, provides services for children and adults with special needs. The organization aims to deliver high-quality supports that help individuals reach their potential through early intervention, residential, work, and day programs. It traces its origins to 1946, when a group of parents and community activists established a day training program as an alternative to institutional care, and in 2008 merged with Kayne Eras Center to add a K-12 school and a mental health program. Today, ECF serves more than 4,800 children, adults, and their families across Los Angeles County through 15 service sites, in clients' homes, and in community settings. Operating in the individual and family services sector, it provides education, health, and daily living supports for people with developmental, learning, and emotional disabilities.
