Founded in 2012, our idea is simple: Experiment let's you discover a great research idea, support it with a donation, then learn by connecting with researchers you backed. 

We're researchers and scientists. We know that researchers want to reach out to the general public for funding or support, but either don’t know how, or don’t have the right tools to do so. In science, the average principal investigator spends 12 weeks a year writing grant proposals, most of which are rejected. Last year, the NIH rejected 82% of 50,000 grant applications. It’s even more difficult for young faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates to find research funding as competition increases. 

With Experiment, we're changing the way research is done. We're bringing the power of the crowd into the lab.
