35 years ago, Extended Day Child Care Center, Inc. (EDCC) was simply a good idea in the mind of a single working mother and commuting elementary school principal. Three decades later, it is a successful, non-profit organization that is providing excellent before and after school care on elementary school campuses in Dublin and Pleasanton, California. We align our curriculum closely with public schools and support our families and teachers. EDCC is located on the 9 elementary school campuses of Walnut Grove, Murray, Frederiksen, Dublin El, Kolb, Green, Dougherty, Amador, and Cottonwood Elementary Schools. EDCC before and after-school childcare offers a variety of enrichment activities to enhance a child’s social, physical, and educational growth. The daily program encourages students to explore and learn in a safe, fun, and well-supervised environment. The activities foster a child’s interest in sports, art, drama, science, computers, cooking, music, and dance. The EDCC curriculum includes these activities: Homework/Tutoring, Arts Attack, SPARKS P.E, MonArt, Power Speaking, Catch Nutrition, Computer Center & STEAM Education, Music & Drama, Science, Literature, Cooking, and Happy Feet Dance. SUMMER DAY CAMP PROGRAM EDCC provides a year-round program for our students by operating a fun-filled summer day camp during the summer break from school. The summer program includes weekly themed activities, special shows, field trips. Currently, we are running a fulltime Distance Learning program assisting students daily zoom lessons.
