Die Hochschule mit starker internationaler Ausrichtung bietet mit zehn Bachelor- und sieben Master-Studiengängen – darunter zwei Bachelor- und zwei Masterprogramme auf Englisch – ein praxisorientiertes, wirtschaftswissenschaftliches Studienangebot mit Schwerpunkt Wirtschaft, Management und Finance. Rund zwei Drittel der ca. 2.500 Studierenden absolvieren ihr Studium berufsbegleitend. Extra zugeschnittene Lehrveranstaltungen mit an eine Berufstätigkeit angepassten Lehrveranstaltungszeiten sowie Blended Learning-Angebote ermöglichen auch Berufstätigen ein Studium auf höchstem akademischem Niveau. 2022 erhielt die FH des BFI Wien als erste Hochschule Wiens das FIBAA-Qualitätssiegel „Excellence in Digital Education” und 2023 die ECA-Zertifizierung "Quality in Programme Internationalisation". Weiters ist sie seit 2017 Mitglied des UN Global Compact und unterstützt mit ihrem Handeln die Sustainable Development Goals der UN, zählt zu den Gründungsmitgliedern des Bündnis Nachhaltige Hochschulen und wurde im Juni 2022 von dem Bundesministerium für Klimaschutz und dem Bundesministerium für Bildung mit zwei Sustainability Awards ausgezeichnet.
