Located just 15 minutes from Boone, 20 minutes to Blowing Rock and 5 minutes to the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, a convenient central location for guests to enjoy the area activities and attractions.
The NC Mountains offer 4 seasons of activities from skiing, snow tubing, ice skating in the winter to trout fishing, music festivals in the spring. Summer activities may include kayaking, canoeing or tubing on the New River, horseback riding, gem mining, hiking, etc. The Fall brings the beautiful change of leaves, festivals with local handcrafts and homemade goodies. Attractions such as Grandfather Mountain are open year round and Tweetsie Railroad for the youngsters and young at heart from April - October (including their famous Ghost Train).
