Family Advocates - Boise is a private, independent nonprofit organization based in Garden City, Idaho, founded in 1978. Operating in the Individual and Family Services sector, it focuses on strengthening families and safeguarding youth by empowering community members to engage in child advocacy and support activities. The organization runs programs such as CASA/Guardian ad Litem, which trains and supports volunteer advocates and pro-bono attorneys to represent children in the Fourth Judicial District, ensuring the child’s voice is considered in court, and a Family Strengthening program that works with families to build protective factors while providing essential resources and education. Its services target families and children in the local area, aiming to create supportive networks, healthy habits, and access to basic necessities through structured classes and activities. A notable recent development is a partnership with the College of Western Idaho to expand service-learning opportunities and community impact through its programs.
