Family Carers Ireland is the national charity dedicated to supporting Ireland's 500,000+ family carers.

Our primary focus is on supporting the carer as an individual in their own right. We're here to provide practical services and supports to family carers in Ireland and to ensure they are recognised, supported and empowered to care and to participate fully in Irish society.

Family Carers Ireland is also leading change within organisations through our "Caring Employers" initiative. One in 9 people (210,000) are currently juggling paid employment with a family caring role.  We are partnering with employee-centric companies, to ensure family carers are fully supported in their roles, allowing them to manage sustainable caring routines alongside their working week.

We are the charity that asks the carer how they are.
