Family Engagement Lab researches what it takes to transform family engagement from school communication into powerful instructional partnership. Our work generates the implementation science the field needs to understand how connecting classroom learning with family action moves the needle on student outcomes. FASTalk is where our research comes to life: curriculum-aligned, multilingual strategies that turn what students are studying in school into concrete support families can provide at home. FASTalk has demonstrated significant learning gains for students that started the year furthest behind their peers, especially those students whose families don't share a common language with the teacher.
