Family Life Services operates in Colorado Springs to support single mothers and their children through a faith-based community. On a shared two-acre site, it has sheltered vulnerable families since 1942, providing an environment that recognizes trauma and supports safety and stability to break cycles of homelessness and domestic violence. Through its residential and outreach programs, the organization helps mothers become stable heads of households capable of meeting their families' needs. Its two-year Resident Program provides shelter in nine apartments for single moms and their children seeking refuge and a change in trajectory. The non-residential Women of Courage outreach serves families across El Paso County with mentoring, education, and spiritual encouragement, helping combat isolation while linking families with support. Supported by volunteers and donors, Family Life Services has sustained its service to families for many decades.
