The Family Support Organization (FSO) of Hunterdon, Somerset and Warren Counties is a private, non-profit organization that offers support to families of children with special emotional, mental or behavioral health needs. Our support staff all have had experience of raising a child with special needs. We educate families on their rights and responsibilities within the NJ System of Care. We help families recognize and appreciate their strengths. We help families explain their needs. We make sure the family voice is heard and help families achieve their vision. We ensure that the care a family receives is child and family centered. We work with families to become their child's best advocate. We encourage family-professional partnerships at all levels of the system. We strive to reduce stigma by promoting understanding and respect for our families.
