Farmworker Justice is a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit founded in 1981 that seeks to improve living and working conditions, immigration status, health, occupational safety, and access to justice for farmworkers across the United States. As a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, it aims to empower farmworkers and their organizations to secure workplace rights and fair treatment. The organization pursues a multifaceted approach that spans advocacy on Capitol Hill, engagement with federal administrative agencies, and litigation, as well as providing legal advocacy, policy analysis, training, and technical assistance to farm labor unions, health centers, immigrant groups, and related entities. It also conducts public campaigns and other communications to educate policymakers and the public about farmworkers’ issues and solutions, and engages in corporate responsibility work to reform food chains. In December 2023, Farmworker Justice launched AT&T Connected Learning to address digital literacy and connectivity for farmworker communities.
