Farstad oil was founded in 1938 and is in the third generation of Farstad management.The company grew from a family operated bulk oil business to a regional wholesale petroleum products distributor. The fleet of over 50 transports currently serves all of North Dakota and Montana, along with large portions of Minnesota, South Dakota and Wyoming.

We are headquartered across 5 acres in Minot, North Dakota with multiple locations and operations across Montana, South Dakota, Wyoming, Idaho, and Minnesota – giving easy access to our rapidly growing customer base.

Farstad Oil is the Northern ROC (Regional Operating Center) of Parkland USA, the largest independent operator of retail and commercial/industrial fuels in the US, Canada, and the Caribbean combined.
