The Feather River Land Trust (FRLT) is a private, non-profit environmental organization based in Quincy, California, founded in 2000. It works to conserve ecologically and culturally significant lands and waters in the Feather River Watershed by using grassroots relationships and strategic partnerships to protect landscapes at a broad scale, including the Sierra Nevada’s headwaters and wetlands, meadows, and forests. The organization operates through three programs—Land Protection, Land Stewardship, and People and Land—to conserve important lands, maintain and restore land health and cultural resources, and foster nature-based education, recreation, and stewardship activities for communities. FRLT collaborates with local landowners, Indigenous communities, and government agencies to achieve landscape-scale conservation and permanent protection of critical resources. It engages in recent initiatives and partnerships, such as working with the Washoe Tribe and regional organizations, and supports public access and education through events and collaborative projects that connect people with the land.
