Financial Data Exchange (FDX) is a nonprofit standards body in the financial services industry, based in Salt Lake City, Utah. It aims to advance open finance by maintaining a common, secure standard for accessing permissioned consumer and business financial data through the FDX API. 
Its open membership model lets organizations of any size participate in working groups and task forces, with equal voting rights for all members to help identify problems and shape solutions. This approach positions FDX as a standard-setter within open banking, serving a broad ecosystem of data providers, financial services firms, and fintechs. In June 2025, FDX released API version 6.4.0.
