Fine Cell Work is a charitable nonprofit and social enterprise based in London, England, focused on rehabilitating people in prison through purposeful activity. The organization trains inmates in soft work and remunerates them to produce high-quality needlework and textile products that are sold to interior designers, private customers, museums, and heritage institutions. Its approach blends practical income, savings for release, and psychological support to help prisoners complete their sentences with employable skills and greater self-belief, supporting reintegration into the community after release. The charity operates with a national network of volunteers and a small staff, delivering programs across multiple prisons and collaborating with partners to sustain its social-enterprise model. Recent developments include participation in events such as the Stitcher Awards and showcasing work at venues like the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, reflecting ongoing activities and outreach beyond its core training and production programs.
