Firefighter Behavioral Health Alliance is a nonprofit organization focused on educating firefighters and EMS personnel, as well as their families, about behavioral health issues such as depression, PTSD, anxiety, addictions, and suicide risk. The organization aims to provide a confidential, accessible source of information and to apply best practices in awareness, prevention, intervention, and post-crisis support for the fire service and EMS, including chaplain programs. Based in Woodstock, Illinois, FBHA is led by founder Jeff Dill, who holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling, is a licensed professional counselor in Illinois, and serves as a battalion chief. In May 2024, FBHA and Weyerhaeuser Company announced the Fighting Fires Together campaign to raise awareness of mental health support for wildland firefighters and their families.
