The First Nations Financial Management Board is a nonprofit, non-governmental organization based in West Vancouver, British Columbia. It operates in financial services by providing First Nations with tools to govern their communities and manage finances, supporting the development of sound financial and administrative governance practices. Created under the First Nations Fiscal Management Act of 2005, the act established three Indigenous institutions, including the FMB, to support communities and foster economic development. Its primary customers are First Nations communities seeking governance and financial management capabilities. In January 2023, the Board announced the RoadMap project, an initiative intended to advance Indigenous economic reconciliation across the country.
