Based in Dickinson, North Dakota, its origins trace back to 1952 with the founding of Fisher Sand & Gravel Co., and the business has expanded to serve markets across the upper Midwest and into the Southwest. The company emphasizes an integrated approach, handling multiple disciplines to move projects from development through construction. In December 2025, Fisher Industries reported securing a contract with the Department of Homeland Security, illustrating its participation in federal infrastructure work.
