Florence Crittenton Services of Colorado is a Denver-based nonprofit in the philanthropic fundraising sector that provides a trauma-responsive, two-generation program designed to help teen families break the cycle of poverty through education, health and wellness, and asset-building. The model serves both teen mothers and their children, aiming to raise educational attainment and improve long-term economic and social outcomes. It participates in the Ascend Network of two-generation leaders and helped establish the Colorado Teen Parent Collaborative to raise awareness, share resources, and advocate for public policy benefiting teen parents and their children. The organization’s mission is to educate, prepare, and empower teen mothers and their children, and its service model is associated with outcomes such as higher high school graduation rates for teen mothers and kindergarten readiness for their children. A notable development in recent years is the addition of a Transitions Advocate to the Student and Family Support Program in 2018, with a July 2021 update noting continued expansion to support graduates after leaving the FloCrit Campus.
