FNB Moçambique S.A. operates as a subsidiary of the FirstRand Group and has established a presence in Mozambique since 2007, following the acquisition of Banco de Desenvolvimento e Comércio (BDC). The bank functions as a corporate and investment lender, offering a spectrum of services that includes commercial and retail banking, leasing and asset finance, transactional and trading capabilities, short-term insurance, and programs for employee groups. It maintains a branch network of 15 locations across eight provinces and supports its services with a robust ATM footprint—more than 40 FNB ATMs and around 1,170 SIMO ATMs, plus point-of-sale terminals. Its payments ecosystem encompasses online banking, cash collection, host-to-host integrations with corporate systems, reconciled payments secured through reference validation, and mobile as well as ATM-based payment options. In late October 2023, the bank introduced three digital channels—a mobile application, a website, and internet banking—to streamline customer access and improve the banking experience.
