FoodCorps is a national nonprofit focused on advancing child well-being through school-based food programs. It partners with students, families, and communities to promote nourishing meals and locally informed food education across local, state, and national levels. Its AmeriCorps members support schools by providing nutritious meals, welcoming environments, and food education that helps children form healthy relationships with food. Beyond direct programming, the organization develops leaders, grows networks, and advocates for policies that support health and well-being for all students, with a goal of ensuring every public school student has access to nourishing meals and food education by 2030. Headquartered in New York City, FoodCorps operates nationwide and has reached about 1.5 million students across 1,844 schools. In 2026, it announced Food Education in the Classroom, a microcredential developed with Teachers College, Columbia University to train K-5 teachers in food education.
