Footbridge is a 501c3 that prevents short-term personal and family financial crises from escalating to significantly more adverse outcomes with more expensive solutions.  We offer a highly effective and customizable solution to those who have an interest in mitigating the cost and social impact of financial crises, from family foundations to government agencies, health insurers, national non-profits and workforce development organizations.

Footbridge’s solution enables both those who make referrals and those in need a rapid and secure means of accessing help.  Footbridge’s customizable forms are HIPAA- compliant and easily accessed on one’s mobile device.  Our organization’s unique staffing structure ensures that all crises are addressed as quickly as is necessary, and both a case coordinator and case administrator are assigned to each case to manage issues and when part of a contract’s terms, to deploy our sustainability evaluation tools.  In an environment of increasingly scarce resources, Footbridge’s ability to help institutions prioritize where aid will make the most impact is critical.

Footbridge fills the gap when no other program can support an individual or family’s need, paying third-party vendors to prevent modest crises from escalating.  Our model increases the lifetime earning capacity of generations within households while saving taxpayer dollars.  Both survey and administrative data about our clients six-months post-intervention indicate that despite being in a highly vulnerable situation, our aid prevented them from having to use our nation's most expensive and traumatic safety net programs.   Administrative data also indicates that resolving financial crises enables our clients to follow their health care regimens and reduces the need for hospitalizations.
