Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center supports, empowers, and improves medical access, health outcomes, and quality of life for Alabama and Mississippi breast cancer patients, survivors, and their loved ones from the day of diagnosis through the balance of life. Breast cancer has one of the highest survival rates in the U.S. -- but not if you live in Alabama or Mississippi. These states have some of the highest breast cancer mortality rates, especially for those who live in rural areas. That is why Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center exists: to support and empower breast cancer patients, survivors and their loved ones in the Deep South by breaking the barriers to medical access, better health outcomes and mental health. Through personalized services, Forge addresses the physical, emotional and financial impacts of the most common cancer in women. Resources include transportation to medical appointments, mental health counseling, peer match mentorship, financial aid, and education. By ensuring patients can access treatment, clinical trials, and finish their treatment, we save lives, enabling survivors to return to their families, their work, and their communities despite a life-altering diagnosis.
