Foster Advocates was founded in 2018 to address the lack of policy and advocacy organizations working to improve child welfare in Minnesota. We speculated that a central agency focused on this work, and centering the lived experiences and voices of current and former Fosters, was critical to system change. As the only organization in Minnesota centered at this intersection, our organization creates a unique and outsized impact through research, relationships, and reform.
