Foundation for Financial Planning is a national charity in the financial services sector focused on advancing pro bono financial planning for at-risk populations. It supports this aim by providing grants to national and community programs and by mobilizing volunteer financial planners to donate their time. Based in Washington, DC, the organization has operated for over 30 years and has contributed to expanding pro bono service within the profession. Its work targets groups including active military members and wounded veterans, people facing cancer and other serious illnesses, seniors and family caregivers, low-income families, and domestic violence survivors. Over its history, FFP has reached hundreds of thousands of people in crisis or need and has engaged tens of thousands of planners in volunteer service.
