France Judo, the French Federation of Judo, Jujitsu, Kendo and Associated Disciplines, is a national sports association founded in 1946 and based in Paris, Île-de-France. It serves as the governing body for judo and its related disciplines, overseeing the promotion and practice of judo alongside disciplines such as jujitsu, kendo, iaido, sport chanbara, jodo, naginata, kyudo, sumo and taiso. The federation counts more than 525,000 licensed practitioners across roughly 5,300 clubs and 111 territorial bodies, supported by thousands of instructors, technical advisors, and volunteers. It organizes more than 4,000 events at the departmental, national, and international levels and maintains an integrated training framework for leaders, technical staff, teachers, referees, sports officials, and high-level athletes to ensure service quality in clubs. The organization employs several hundred staff to support these activities.
