Franklin County Government is located in southcentral Pennsylvania. The county has grown each year since its founding in 1784. While considered rural, Franklin County’s urban population increases as more businesses open in Chambersburg, the county seat, and in our other population centers. Continued efforts toward downtown revitalization and community events attract visitors throughout the year.
