Friends of North Creek Forest is a small environmental services nonprofit based in Bothell, Washington. The organization focuses on North Creek Forest, the largest remaining mature forest in Bothell, which provides ecological value for salmon and is situated close to a large local population as well as a nearby student community. Since 2011, FNCF has collaborated with the City of Bothell to shield the forest from development, culminating in the city's purchase of the site in early 2017, with plans for a Master Plan to address public access, habitat protection and learning. Its mission is to maintain and improve the forest's biological function through education, stewardship and conservation in perpetuity. The organization positions itself as a steward of an urban natural asset and seeks to enable learning opportunities for people of all ages while safeguarding ecological integrity through ongoing collaboration with the City.
