Friendship Ambassadors Foundation believes in the power of friendship as a catalyst for a stronger and long-lasting collaboration for a better world. With youth leadership at its core, the Foundation works toward shaping a more interconnected world as we prepare for humanity’s next great leap forward. Founded by Fulbright Scholar Harry Morgan and well-respected travel professional Cappy Devlin, FAF started as a project aimed at promoting intercultural dialogue among youth in the 1950s. Today, FAF continues to push the envelope forward through its flagship program called The Youth Assembly that cultivates a global network of young leaders and generates youth-led impact twice a year.

From leading international, cultural, and educational exchange programs to promoting youth capacity-building and leadership at the global stage, FAF has touched the lives of hundreds of thousands of people from different cultures and backgrounds including prominent figures such as former United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan and UN Youth Envoy Ahmed Alhendawi.

In 2015, FAF has officially been granted the Consultative Status with Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). This, along with our Consultative Status with UNESCO, adds a new dimension to our global recognition and advances our contribution to the work of the United Nations. The Foundation also continues to maintain our association with the UN Department of Public Information and is one of the 4,000 non-businesses involved with the UN Global Compact.
