Our story began with the creation of the rosserhead debarker, developed in response to the lumber industry’s demand for a more effective way to convert slabs and edgings into usable wood fiber. This groundbreaking machine revolutionized sawmill and pulp mill operations by transforming what was once waste into valuable furnish—an innovation that changed the industry forever.

Recognizing the need for precision and performance in every aspect of wood processing, Fulghum soon expanded its product line with the introduction of high-quality chippers, now recognized worldwide as among the best in the industry. Continued innovation led to the development of saws, screens, conveyors, loaders, and other essential equipment that set new standards for reliability and productivity.

In the mid-1970s, Fulghum undertook a major redesign of its product line, introducing the Fulghum drum debarker and log handling crane—two products that further solidified our reputation for engineering excellence. Today, our product range includes equipment of all sizes and capabilities, from 48" chippers to 180' radius log handling cranes, serving customers around the world.
