Gateway Community Church is a religious institution based in Austin, Texas. It describes itself as a community of people who are in process, pursuing a transforming relationship with Jesus and with one another, and it says everyone is welcome regardless of story, questions, doubts, or struggles. The church emphasizes doing life together in community, intentional personal growth, and serving one another and the broader community. Founded in 2000 by Robert Morris, who led as senior pastor for more than two decades, the church underwent a leadership change in mid-2024 when Morris stepped down following public allegations related to past sexual abuse. It maintains a mid-sized staff and has engaged in outreach partnerships, including Mercy Chefs’ meal provision at the North Fort Worth Campus. These outreach efforts illustrate the church's involvement with community partners beyond regular services.
