GemStack is a small Austin, Texas-based firm in the business consulting and services sector that implements and runs an AI Operating System inside SEC-registered wealth management firms. It notes that advisors are already using AI for meeting intelligence, AI-assisted communications, and drafting emails, but governance and documentation are often missing, drawing scrutiny from the SEC in examinations. Its target customers are SEC-registered wealth management firms and registered investment advisers seeking to formalize AI governance and compliance.

The company positions itself as an alternative to hiring a full-time Head of AI by delivering a complete AI function as a fractional role, supported by a structured decision cadence. It provides a governance infrastructure tailored to SEC-registered firms, addressing Form ADV disclosure, Books and Records, vendor due diligence, and Regulation Best Interest obligations.
