Genève Aéroport operates Geneva Airport, founded in 1920, making it one of the world’s oldest airports. It has contributed to Geneva’s development as a diplomatic capital and remains owned by the State of Geneva as an autonomous public institution since 1994. The airport connects to roughly 140 destinations with about 60 airline partners and served more than 17 million passengers in 2019. In 2020, the East Wing opened to provide boarding lounges for long-haul flights, expanding capacity to meet growing demand. The organization supports a broader ecosystem by hosting around 200 other companies on site, employing a sizable workforce beyond Genève Aéroport's own staff. In 2025 it formed a partnership with SITA to implement self-service bag drops and digital information systems across the terminal.
