Gender at Work is an international network of highly qualified experts and feminist thought leaders based in 16 countries, with experience across regions worldwide. It has supported more than 100 organisations to undertake complex organisational and programming change processes that contribute toward more equal and inclusive social and organisational norms. This work draws on context-sensitive gender action learning, programmatic assessments and evaluations, accompaniment of organisational staff and leaders, and social justice programmes aimed at building cultures of equity, inclusion, and anti-oppression within organisations, communities, and programmes. Based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the network operates across sectors and at multiple levels—from local civil society organisations to regional, international and UN partnerships—combining organisational development, popular education, anti-oppression and feminist approaches. It emphasizes ongoing learning, theory building, and sharing knowledge and learning. In November 2025, The Story Kitchen partnered with Gender At Work and UN Women Nepal to create the Hamro Sahakarya (Its Collective Action) storytelling project.
