Rooted in Chicago and born from the idea that all young people deserve the opportunity to live their American Dream and attend college, the George M. Pullman Educational Foundation has invested more than $33 million, sending nearly 12,000 Chicago-Area scholars to college throughout the country since 1950.

Pullman Scholars come from the north side, west side, south side, and suburbs. They are no strangers to adversity and conquer challenges head on. They represent the Chicago-area’s rich cultural diversity. Most importantly, they know getting an education is the key to their success.

The George M. Pullman Educational Foundation supports the dreams and aspirations of outstanding high school students with merit-based, need-based scholarships and continuing educational support, as they pursue their bachelor’s degree at the college or university of their choice.
