The Georgia International Convention Center (GICC) is a major convention facility in the hospitality industry, located in College Park, Georgia, adjacent to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and about ten minutes from downtown Atlanta. It offers 150,000 square feet of exhibit space and Georgia’s largest ballroom at 40,000 square feet. Its campus includes two on-site hotels—the 403-room Marriott headquarters hotel, opened in August 2010, and a 147-room SpringHill Suites that opened in December 2009. Access from the airport is supported by the ATL SkyTrain, which shuttles passengers to the center in about two minutes at no cost. The center serves organizers of large conferences and exhibitions, hosting events such as The Black Beauty Expo in August 2025. With a relatively small to mid-sized staff, it operates its convention facilities and on-site hotels to support sizable gatherings.
