The Georgia Motor Trucking Association (GMTA) is a small trade association based in Marietta, Georgia, representing the state's trucking industry. It has a history of more than 80 years of activity and is the only organization in Georgia that provides full-time service and representation for the industry. The association facilitates networking through events that connect member carriers across Georgia and the Southeast. It advocates at the state capitol to address industry needs, citing legislative wins such as permanent trailer tags, tax exemptions, protection from shippers' negligence, and anti-theft protections. The organization runs Profectus, an invite-only leadership development program, and disseminates industry news through newsletters, alerts, quarterly publications, and an annual directory; in January 2025, Seth Millican was named president and CEO.
