The German Jordanian University (GJU) is a public higher education institution located in Al-Mushaqqar, Naour, along the Amman–Madaba Western Highway in Jordan. It follows a German Fachhochschule‑style model for teaching, emphasizing applied study programs and a 1:1 balance of theory and practical training. GJU offers 17 undergraduate programs and six master's programs, enrolling just over 3,000 students, of whom about 15% are international. The university collaborates with more than 90 partner universities in Europe, where students spend their fourth year studying and undertake a six-month internship with European industry partners. Graduates are prepared with fluency in English, German, and Arabic, and the institution employs between 1,001 and 5,000 staff.
