The organization emerged from grassroots efforts to save New Jersey leukemia patient Jay Feinberg and has evolved into a global donor registry. Based in Boca Raton, Florida, Gift of Life maintains affiliations with major donor networks, being accredited by the World Marrow Donor Association and serving as an affiliate of the National Marrow Donor Program, while participating in Bone Marrow Donors Worldwide.
