GIMELEC is a federation that unites French electro-numerical companies. It counts about 210 member firms that design, manufacture, and deploy solutions for electrification, decarbonization, and the digital intelligence of industrial facilities, buildings, and energy and digital infrastructures. Based in the Paris area, the organization operates within the electrical equipment manufacturing sector and serves as a collective voice for its members. In 2021, GIMELEC established the OPC France working group to support companion specifications, in collaboration with S2OPC and the OPC Foundation. This move demonstrates the federation's involvement in standards and interoperability for digital integration in its core areas. Located in the Paris region, GIMELEC functions as a coordinating body within France's electrical equipment manufacturing ecosystem.
