Ginger Bay Salon & Spa was founded in 1991 and is celebrating 32 years in business.  In May of 2008, Laura A. Ortmann purchased Ginger Bay and is now the present Owner and CEO.   Ginger Bay is a full-service Aveda salon and day spa for men and women.  We offer the latest in hair design, cut and color, straighteners, hair extensions, massage therapy, facial services, waxing, manicures and pedicures and make-up services.

Ginger Bay's 1st location and corporate offices are located in Kirkwood, MO. In 2011, Ginger Bay opened its second location in Town & Country, MO and, between both locations, Ginger Bay currently employees 100 full and part time employees. Unlike most salons, spas and barber shops which employee independent contractors, Ginger Bay is an employee-based company and offers its employees extensive technical, customer service and retail product training.  In addition, Ginger Bay offers a wide array of traditional benefits, such as health insurance (including eye and dental), matching 401(k), company paid life insurance and supplemental insurances.  Ginger Bay also offers nontraditional benefits, such as retail and service discounts for employees and family members, advanced education, tenure awards, celebrations, sales contests, bonuses, and much more.
