Providing practical Christian care since 1826 to Glasgow's homeless and marginalised. Our City Centre project serves more than 200 vulnerable adults each day. Our evening food-drop in and foodbank services are often the main in roads for people. We'll seek to meet this immediate need and then ask how else we can help. To that end, we'll connect clients to out daytime activities programme which seeks to address the root causes of poverty. From music and art, to life skills such as cookery, IT and budgeting, to back to work support, and one-to-one advice, our holistic service is transforming lives in Glasgow. In addition, our Child & Family Centre in the city's disadvantaged Govan district seeks to give children the best start possible in life through nursery, playgroups and parent-toddler groups. Parents are also encouraged and equipped to be great parents by developing their confidence and parenting skills through parenting classes and staff support. We receive no Government funding except the basic nursery education costs. Instead, local people, businesses, churches and charitable trusts enable our work to happen. Partner with us We provide regular opportunities for local businesses to fundraise and volunteer with us. It makes a big difference to our charity and our clients, whilst also benefiting the local business in meeting their CSR objectives.
