Glasgow City Mission is a charity in Glasgow, Scotland, providing practical Christian care to the city's homeless and marginalised since 1826. Its City Centre project supports more than 200 vulnerable adults daily, addressing immediate needs through an evening food drop and a food bank before guiding clients to a daytime activities programme that tackles the root causes of poverty. The programme offers activities such as music and art, life skills training (cookery, IT, budgeting), back-to-work support, and one-to-one guidance, aiming for holistic impact. It also serves as the lead partner for the Glasgow Winter Night Shelter, providing emergency accommodation and connecting guests to homelessness caseworkers, health specialists, and other city services after a safe night’s sleep. In the Govan district, its Child & Family Centre provides nursery, playgroups, and parent-toddler activities, along with parenting classes and staff support to help parents develop confidence and skills. The organization relies on local people, businesses, churches, and charitable trusts for support, with no government funding beyond nursery education costs. In November 2024, Glasgow City Mission announced a partnership with Social Bite to deliver a joint programme.
