Global Health Corps (GHC) was founded in 2009 on the belief that leadership is the most powerful lever for driving health equity. Over the past 16 years, GHC has recruited and trained 1,300+ rising leaders. GHC is changing the who of health leadership by investing in those who have historically been underrepresented in decision making. GHC is also changing the how of health leadership, cultivating critical traits for meeting today’s challenges including systems thinking, design thinking, empathy, humility, resilience, and adaptability. The organization's U.S. and Africa Leadership Accelerators provide early-career public and global health leaders with coaching, mentorship, skill-building, and networks to bolster their retention and impact. GHC's alumni program supports them as they continue to rise into higher leadership roles in global and public health, collectively managing $8B in funding and over 11,000 direct and indirect reports. GHC has been recognized with prestigious awards from the Skoll Foundation, Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation, Global Citizen, and Echoing Green. GHC fellows, alumni, and staff have been featured on global stage and pages, including the Global Philanthropy Forum, the World Economic Forum, United Nations convenings, TEDx, The New York Times, Devex, The Lancet, and more. GHC is also an active member of sector-wide coalitions including The People First Community and Aspen’s High Level Council for Leadership.
